MCKENZIE KRUSE, a former River Valley High School athlete, was a top point producer for the UW-Eau Claire women’s track team last weekend. Kruse, a sophomore sprinter/hurdler, contributed a dozen points to the Blugolds at the annual WIAC Outdoor Championships.

Her best finish of the meet came in the 4×400-meter relay where her opening leg paced the Blu- ® 45 golds to second place, and eight team points, with a time of 3 minutes 48.88 seconds.

Kruse also garnered four points in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:02.89, which was good for fifth place. UW-EC dominated the event with six athletes in the finals who accumulated 25 of the available 39 points in the event.

The Blugolds were runners-up to host UW-La Crosse with a total of 169 points.

UW-EC heads to UW-L for the Uncaged Eagle Open on Friday.

ANNA TISCH, a former Pecatonica High School athlete, turned in a top time for the University of Mary (ND) women’s track team last weekend.

Tisch, a sophmore multi-event athlete, placed second in the 400m hurdles at the team’s own Last Chance Meet.

She was part of a 1-2-3-4 sweep by the Marauders, crossing the finish line in 1:01.73.

Tisch’s time hits an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark, and ranks her 61st in the nation.

UMary competes in the NSIC Championships beginning Thursday in Duluth, Minn.

BRYN MEYER, a former Barneveld High School athlete, helped the Loras College (la) women’s track team last week.

Meyer, a freshman sprinter/jumper, recorded a pair of new best times at the American Rivers Conference Outdoor Championships.

She set a new personal record in the 100m and raced to a season-best time as a member of the 4×100 relay.

Meyer was clocked in 12.51 during the 100m prelims where she placed 10th; an improvement of .02 seconds from her previous best.

Running the second leg of the relay for a Duhawks team that placed fourth in 48.06; a new season-best performance that ranks 53rd in NCAA DIII.

Meyer also participated in the long jump where she placed 11th with an effort of 17-2 (5.23m) and 12th in the 200m with a time of 26.50.

The Duhawks claimed third place after scoring 129 points.

Loras is in Waverly, la., on Saturday for the Wartburg Last Chance Meet. LEXIE WEIER, a former Mount Horeb athlete from Mineral Point, had a top-10 finish for the UW-Whitewater women’s track team last Saturday.

Weier, a senior horizontal jump specialist, placed eighth in the triple jump at the WIAC championships.

She was the top finisher of three Warhawks in the field of 25 athletes.

On her second attempt of the day, she jumped 36 feet 11 inches (11.25m); it was the second of three consecutive leaps that landed over 36′ The Warhawks finished the two-day meet in fourth place with 59.5 points. UW-W will compete in Last Chance Meets this weekend.

CALEB KITELINGER, a former Dodgeville High School athlete, scored points for the UW-Platteville men’s track team last weekend.

Kitelinger, a freshman sprinter, was a part of two relays that added seven points total to the UW-P total at the WIAC Championships held at UW-L. He ran the second leg of the 4×400 that finished fifth with a clocking of 3:14.96.

Kitelinger handled the third leg of the 4×100 relay, which placed sixth in 41.81; a little over two seconds separated the top five teams.

He also ran in the 100m, but did not advance out of the trials after finishing with a time of 11.16.

The Pioneers captured fourth place with a total of 73 points.

UW-P runs at UW-L on Friday.

JAMESON JOHNSON, a former Pecatonica High School athlete, reached base in three games for the Rock Valley College (III) baseball team last week.

Johsnon, a 6-2 sophomore UTL, recorded three hits and four RBI and two runs scored.

A single in each game against the College of DuPage (III) plated three runs with the final RBI coming via a solo home run against Sauk Valley Community College (III).

RVC ends its regular season with a 34-15 record.

ELLIE ROBINSON, a former Mineral Point High School athlete, was in action for the South Dakota State University women’s track team last weekend in Vermillion, SD.

Robinson, a distance runner redshirting the season, finished in the top one-third of the H 1500m at the South Dakota Challenge on the campus of the University of South Dakota.

She was one of 10 Jackrabbits in the field, finishing 16th overall and ninth on the team, with a time of 4:53.77.

ANNIE ROBINSON, a former Mineral Point High School athlete, was also on the track for the Jackrabbits in Vermillion, SD.

Annie Robinson, a freshman distance runner, displayed her talents in the 3000m steeplechase at the Lillibridge Track Complex.

After 7.5 laps, numerous barriers, and multiple water jumps, she placed sixth with a time of 11 :: 24.22.

Robinson was one of only two freshmen competing in the event.

SDSU returns to Vermillion, on Friday for the USD Twilight meet.

ELIJAH KNUTSON, a former Pecatonica High School athlete, appeared in the final two series for the Wisconsin Lutheran College (WLC) baseball team last week.

Knutson, a 5- 10 sophomore catcher, was used as a pinch hitter against Marian University then was behind the dish against Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW).

He reached base on consecutive at bats with a single and a walk during a 3-2 loss to the Falcons.

Earlier in the week, Knutson ended a 15-0 loss to the Sabres with a groundout.

WLC ends 2026 with an overall mark of 10-30 and 4-20 in NACC play.

LILY PETTIT, a former lowa-Grant High School athlete, closed out the regular season for the Lakeland University softball team with a pair of appearances.

Pettit, a 5-1 sophomore P/INF, started games against Benedictine University (III) and Marian University, but was not the pitcher of record in either contest.

Between the two games, she tossed 9.0 innings, allowing six earned runs on 13 hits and one each walk, wild pitch and hit batter.

Pettit faced a total of 39 batters.

Lakeland (24-15-1, 16-8) begins play in the conference tournament on Thursday at Bedrosian Stadium in Montgomery, III.

AIDEN FISHNICK, a former Barneveld High School athlete, threw twice for the UW-Milwaukee baseball team last week.

Fishnick, a 6-2 redshirt junior pitcher, was called out of the bullpen against Northwestern and UNLV, both losses for the Panthers.

He faced 10 batters in one inning against the Wildcats then another 10 batters in 1.2 innings against the Rebels.

Fishnick allowed a total of six runs, five earned, on six hits, three walks, and a hit batter to accompany three strikeouts.

UW-M (16-29, 10-8) is on the road at Illinois-Chicago on Wednesday, at Youngstown State (Oh) this weekend, and at Northern Illinois University (NIU) next Tuesday.

LIAM STUMPF, a former Mineral Point High School athlete, was utilized one time last week by the Central Michigan University (CMU) baseball team.

Stumpf, a 6-0 redshirt senior pitcher, threw two complete innings during a 12-1 loss to NIU.

In his 16th appearance this season, he threw 50 pitches to 11 batters who scored three earned runs on a trio of hits, a walk, a wild pitch, and a hit batter.

Stumpf did fan one Huskie hitter, raising his season total to 15.

CMU (19-27, 9-18) plays its next four games at home; the Akron Zips come to Mount Pleasant for three games this weekend, then Valparaiso next Tuesday.

GAVIN DAVIDSON, a former River Valley High School athlete, was part of the rotation for the Madison College men’s golf team last week.

Davidson, a freshman, played one round at the Region 4 Division Il tournament in Byron, III.

Inserted into the lineup for third round, Davidson carded a 17-over-par 89 at the Prairie View Golf Club and finished 63rd.

The WolfPack tied Carl Sandburg College (III) for third place in the team race after shooting a total of 941 (314- 313-314).

MASON AIDE, a former lowa-Grant High School athlete, competed at the WIAC Championships for the UW- Stout men’s track team last weekend. Aide, a junior distance runner, was involved in the two longest races of the meet.

He was three of six Blue Devils in the 10000m where he was 19th overall, and third on the team, in 31:41.69.

Aide was also in the 5000m field, but did not finish the race; he was sitting 20th after 8.5 laps.

The Blue Devils placed eighth with a final score of 53 points.

UW-S participates at the UW-L Uncaged Eagle Open on Friday.

DAELYNN RHOADES, a former Barneveld High School athlete, made three appearances for the Cornell College (Ia) softball team last week.

Rhoades, a 5- 4 senior P/INF, allowed 10 earned runs in a total of 5.2 innings on the bump.

She faced 33 batters, who collected 3 CORNEL dozen hits and five walks.

Rhoades finishes the regular season with a 6-4 record and 4.39 earned run average (ERA).

Cornell (23-16, 10-6) earned the No. 4 seed in the Midwest Conference tournament and will play Illinois College on Friday.

DOM MCVAY, a former Mineral Point High School athlete, hit safely in every game for the UW-Whitewater baseball team last week.

McVay, a 5-9 junior OF, batted .500 as he collected nine hits in 18 trips to the plate.

He had three multi-hit games, including going 3-for-4 in the series opener against UW-S.

McVay scored three runs while collecting five runs batted in (RBI).

LEYTEN BOWERS, a former Mineral Point High School athlete, was a frequent guest on the bases for the Warhawks last week.

Bowers, a 6-0 senior INF, reached base seven times courtesy of four walks, a pair of hits, and being hit by a pitch.

He capped off his week by slugging his sixth home run of the season during a 16-0 whitewash of the Blue Devils in the finale.

ETHAN WICKMAN, a former River Valley High School athlete, made one appearance for the Warhawks last week.

Wickman, a 6-1 junior pitcher, tossed one inning during a 4-2 over the Blue Devils.

He faced just four batters, allowing one hit while striking out one as well.

In the sweep of the Blue Devils, the Warhawks outscored their visitors, 38-4. UW-W (36-3, 28-0) hosts UW-River Falls on Thursday to open WIAC tournament play.

MCKENNA REILLY, a former Dodgeville High School athlete, had

her season on the Edgewood University women’s lacrosse team come to an end last week.

Reilly, a 5-8 sophomore defender, caused a pair of turnovers and committed a foul during a 9-4 loss to Aurora University (III) in the semifinals of the NACC tournament.

Edgewood closes the season with an overall mark of 8-11 that included winning six of nine games in the conference.

ISAAC HILL, a former lowa-Grant High School athlete, was on the course for the Edgewood men’s golf team last Friday.

Hill, a 6-2 graduate student, helped the Eagles close out the season by hosting its Spring Quadrangular.

He carded a 6-over-par 78 at Bishops Bay Country Club and finished in a four-way tie for 17th.

Thirty-six golfers from four teams participated in the meet.

Edgewood scored a 312 to finish fourth on the day.

Former area athletes who played for their respective teams last week, but did not record any statistics or statistics were not available included Sean Reilly (DHS), UW-L baseball and Emma Moyle (DHS), Smith College rowing.
