Dale Richard Johnson, age 62, of Evansville, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. He was born on July 29, 1963, in Madison, the son of Norbert and Diana (Skaife) Johnson. He spent many years working in the transportation and telecommunication industries. He had a deep love for fishing, especially walleye, and rarely passed up a chance to be out on the water. Many will remember the fish fries Dale hosted at home, where good food and laughter were always in abundance. He also had a passion for racing and carried a playful, joking spirit with him from childhood. He loved his dog, Bentley, and the two are now reunited.
Dale is survived by his son, Lucas Johnson; mother, Diana; brother, Bob (Linda) Johnson; and sister, Susan Hubbard; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; and sisters, Kay Coleman and Shelly Johnson.
A celebration of life will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026.
