Emma Moyle, a 2025 Dodgeville High School student, helped Smith Rowing (Northampton, MA) capture the Florence Jope Smith Cup at the NEWMAC Championship in Worcester, MA. The cup is awarded to the program with the highest overall point total across the championship.
Competing schools included Smith College, Wellesley College, the Coast Guard Academy, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI).
Smith won three of the four races, with Emma’s varsity 8-person boat among those taking first. The victory reflected strong depth, speed, and a true team effort from start to finish.
All four of Smith’s varsity 8s return to the water this Saturday at the New England Rowing Championship on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, MA.
