Susan C. Vesperman, age 75 of Dodgeville, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, after a brief courageous fight with cancer. She was born on March 7, 1951, in Ripon, WI, daughter of the late Arden and Margaret (Clausen) Schmidt. Susan’s family moved to Boscobel, and she graduated from Boscobel High School. She worked for many years at Boscobel State Bank and Land’s End before retiring. Susan enjoyed staying active in her younger years playing softball and bowling. She had a competitive spirit while being a kid at heart. Susan was an avid reader who loved getting caught up in many novels of different genres with her favorite being Danielle Steel. She had a distinct appreciation for fast cars and great music turned up. Susan could often be found playing Euchre, cheering for the Badgers, or watching other Big 10 sports. She will be remembered as a wonderful woman with lots of character.
She is survived by her son Jason (Sara) Godfrey of Prairie du Chien, sister Linda Martin of Edgerton, nephew Brad Martin of Milton, triplet grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends. Susan was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Rodney Martin.
