Richland Center hurler Kyree Fischer struck out 17 Blackhawks to lead Richland Cener to 6-0 win in SWC play Thursday.
Brooklyn Stokes had the lone River Valley hit.
The Hornets scored five runs in the third inning, which helped them to the win.
Richland Center jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the third inning after an error scored one run, Fischer doubled, scoring one run, Jaycee Gander doubled, scoring two runs, and Morgan Kleppe singled, scoring one run.
Ashlyn Stokes pitched four innings in relief for the Blackhawks. The hurler gave up four hits and one run while, striking out three and walking three.
Maizey Strobush took the loss for River Valley. The righty went two innings, allowing five runs (two earned) on three hits, striking out one and walking none.
Fischer and Kleppe each collected two hits for Richland Center. Gander and Fischer were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for the Hornets.
