Barneveld pulled away from Argyle/Black Hawk and claimed an 11- 1 win over the Warbirds in Six Rivers baseball.
The Golden Eagles got on the board in the top of the first inning after a passed ball scored two runs, Karsen Leuzinger drew a walk, scoring one run, and Ty Thousand grounded out, scoring another.
The Golden Eagles added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Kadyn Schlimgen singled down the right field line, Mason Durst doubled down the left field line, and Argyle/Black Hawk committed an error to score the runs.
The Eagles added one run in the third. Schlimgen doubled down the left field line, making the score 8-0.
Thousand earned the win for Barneveld. The starting pitcher allowed no hits and no runs over two innings, striking out five and walking none. Cooper Shipman then pitched three innings in relief for the Golden Eagles. The hurler surrendered two hits and one run while, striking out six and walking one.
Ole Isely took the loss for Argyle/Black Hawk. The starter went three innings, giving up eight runs on four hits, striking out three and walking six. Chandler Johnson finished.
Schlimgen led Barneveld with two hits in three at bats. Landon Beicher and Schlimgen each drove in two runs for Barneveld.
Johnsen and Dunlavey each collected one hit for Argyle/Black Hawk. Cole Dunlavey led the Warbirds with one run batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-2 on the day.
