All roads will lead to Rewey on April 12 as it is the Annual Pancake Breakfast for our Rewey Volunteer Fire Department & First Responders. It will be at the Rewey Fire Station from 8:00-noon. They are known for their delicious pancakes – also serving sausages, scrambled eggs, applesauce, orange juice, coffee and milk. All proceeds go toward training and equipment. It’s a win, win. You get to eat their delicious breakfast and show your support for all they do whenever they are called. That’s April 12 in Rewey at the fire station.
Queen B Radio in Platteville is having a Tailgate Cookout Benefit for Steve Prestegard on Thursday, April 16 at the Queen B Studio, 51 Means Drive in Platteville. Steve is the Queen B/WGLR sports broadcaster and the Platteville Journal Editor. He has had some big medical expenses. If you are unable to attend, donations can be made to WGLR or the Platteville Journal. Be sure to specify it’s for Steve Prestegard’s benefit. Please show your support as he does so much for the area and this is a way to thank him and help with his medical expenses.
Saturday, April 18 is the Mifflin Township Big Clean Up Day. Hours are 8:00-4:00 at the recycling shed. There is a charge for some items like tires, appliances, TVs and maybe more.
Family and friends attended the funeral of Lois Jean Clifton, 94, of Montfort on Friday. Sympathy is extended to her family. One of her grandsons – Jake and Hayley Clifton and their family, live in Rewey.
Jim and Charley Bunker visited Bob and I on Wednesday. They came to see the lambs which are coming now.
Sandy Brown was very happy to have some of her family at her home on Saturday to celebrate Easter. Coming from Madison were her sister Marsha and Joe Biddick and her niece Jenny and Bob Davis and children from Missouri.
