The Dodgeville Co-Op team otok first with Mount Horeb the runner-up with only a .275 point differential.
Dodgeville Co-Op’s Maddie Klein and Faith Hoffman took the top two All Around spots with Klein winning vault and bars while Hoffman won floor.
“This team has grown so much mentally,” sadi Dodgeville Co-Op coachJulia Oellerich following the meet. “Early in the season we talked a lot about trusting their training and not overthinking. At Sectionals, they did exactly that. They showed maturity, composure, and grit. That’s what made the difference.
“Faith competed with so much poise. As a senior, she knew this was her last opportunity to advance, and there’s naturally pressure that comes with that. But she didn’t let it impact her performance. She stayed composed and focused on one routine at a time. Finishing 2nd in the All- Around with a 36.175 and winning Floor really shows her versatility and consistency. She rose to the moment when it mattered most.
“Maddy was exceptional throughout the meet. She did have an uncharacteristic fall on beam, but what impressed me most was how she responded. In gymnastics, accidents happen. It’s a gymnast’s ability to move on quickly and not carry mistakes into the next event that really sets them apart. Maddy reset immediately, stayed mentally tough, and that resilience is what helped her secure the All-Around title with a 36.625, along with championships on Bars and Vault.
“We’re excited for the opportunity to compete at State. The goal remains the same – trust the training, compete for each other, and embrace the experience. This team has earned the right to be there.”
