February 24, (8:37 a.m.), An Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on US Highway 151 near Mile Marker 40 in the Township of Mineral Point. Following an investigation, the driver, Cesar Augusto Cruz, age 30, was arrested for Operating While Revoked (1st-Rev. due to OWI). Cruz was transported to the Iowa County Jail and booked on the charge.
February 25, (3:14 p.m.), The Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a vehicle fire at an address in the 7000 block of Leaches Crossing Road in the Township of Clyde. The Lone Rock Fire Department, Highland EMS and the Avoca Police Department responded to the location. No injuries were reported and the vehicle fire was extinguished.
(3:33 p.m.), The Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a brush fire at an address in the 17000 block of County Road O in Lafayette County. The Mineral Point Fire Department, Belmont Fire Department, and Mineral Point EMS responded to the location. No injuries were reported and the fire was extinguished.
(4:17 p.m.), The Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a two vehicle crash, with injury, on US Highway 18-151 near the intersection of County Road T in the Township of Brigham. The Barneveld Fire Department, Barneveld EMS, Dodgeville EMS, and Iowa
County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the location. One patient was transported from the scene to a local hospital. Disch Auto and Towing assisted with removal of the involved vehicles.
(6:53 p.m.), An Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on US Highway 14 near the intersection of West Street in the Township of Arena. Subsequent to an investigation and positive K9 alert, the operator, Justin W. Handley, age 48, was arrested for criminal charges of Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Handley was transported to the Iowa County Jail and booked on the charges.
February 26, (12:07 a.m.), The Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a water pipe break at a business in the 600 block of Dodge Street in the City of Mineral Point. The Mineral Point Fire Department, Mineral Point EMS and Mineral Point Police responded to the location. City utilities were contacted and the issue was resolved.
(10:16 p.m.), An Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on North Lindsey Street near the intersection of Oxnem Road in the City of Dodgeville. Subsequent to an investigation and positive K9 alert, the operator, Katherine W Deckert, age 48, and the passenger, Shelby L. Cody, age 29, were arrested for criminal charges of Possession of THC and Felony Bail Jumping. They were transported to the Iowa County Jail and booked on the charges.
February 28, (2:39 a.m.), The Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a disturbance at a residence in the 200 block of East Chapel Street in the Township of Dodgeville. Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted Dodgeville Police Department responded to the location and investigated. As a result, Brandon Putman, age 25, was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct. Putman was transported to the Iowa County Jail and booked on the charge.
(11:47 a.m.), The Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a one-vehicle crash, with injury, on County Road K near the intersection of Linley Road in the Township of Arena. The Arena Fire Department, Arena EMS, and Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the location. One patient was transported from the scene to a local hospital. Precision Towing assisted with removal of the vehicle.
(3:36 p.m.), The Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a one-vehicle crash on State Road 130 near Spring Valley Road in the Township of Clyde. The Lone Rock Fire Department, Lone Rock EMS, Wisconsin State Patrol and Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene. One patient was transported from the scene to a local hospital. (4:13 p.m.), The Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a two-vehicle crash on US Highway 14 near the intersection of Dalogasa Drive. The Arena Fire Department, Arena EMS, and Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the locations. No injuries were reported. Gauger’s Towing assisted in removal of involved vehicles.

The Barneveld Fire Department, Barneveld EMS and Iowa Couty Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the location. No injuries were reported and scene was cleared.
