It is with great sadness that we share the loss of Cindy Kitelinger who passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. Cindy was born on February 17, 1960, the daughter of Donald and Marlene Wood. She grew up in Linden and graduated from Iowa-Grant High School in 1978. Cindy married Dan Kitelinger on October 7, 1978 and they were soulmates for over 47 years. They made their home in Linden raising their two daughters, Keri and Danielle. Later they moved to Dodgeville. Visitation was held on Monday, March 2 and services were held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Gorgen-McGinley & Ayers Funeral Home in Dodgeville. Burial was held in the Village of Linden Cemetery. Our heartfelt condolences to Cindy’s family and friends. Her great sense of humor and quick wit and wonderful laugh was the best. Cindy will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends.

Don’t miss out on attending the Southwest WI All-Terrain Club annual fund raiser. It will be held at a new location this year, the Rewey Fire Station on this Saturday, March 7, 2026. It all starts at noon with food, serving until all is gone. There will be great items for the live and silent auctions, raffle drawings, meat paddles, a gun raffle and fresh baked goods for sale. S.W.A.T. Club is very active and help many organizations by donating to various causes through-out the area. Come support and enjoy a great event!
Make sure you get your reservations made for the Southwest Wisconsin Cornish Society St. Piran’s Day. This annual event will be held at the Walker House in Mineral Point this Sunday, March 8. The Pasty lunch and program will be held from 12:30-3:00 pm. A presentation will be given by Janet Miller and Ulrich Sieloff on the transformation of the Cornish Heritage Park in Mineral Point. Members of the Bloomfield Buddies 4-H Club will be meeting with leaders, Megan Walter, Mikayla Caygill and Lisa Springer on this Sunday, March 8 at 3:00 pm with meetings to be held at the Linden Town Hall in Linden.
