Panthers shut out Argyle/BH

The Argyle-Black Hawk Varsity softball team had trouble keeping up with Iowa-Grant in a 13-0 loss on Monday.

A double by Carley Shores put Iowa-Grant on the board in the top of the first. Iowa-Grant added one run in the third after Pajassa Baker singled down the left field line.

Brittany Petz earned the win for Iowa-Grant. The reliever allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking one.

Brynn Harris took the loss for Argyle. The hurler went six innings, allowing 13 runs (eight earned) on 11 hits, striking out six and walking three.

Quinn Hoeper stepped in the circle first for Iowa-Grant. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out eight and walking one.

Brianna Wilhelmson, Harris, and Claire Holmes each collected one hit for Argyle. Argyle/BH turned one double play in the game.

Iowa-Grant collected 11 hits in the game. Carley Shores, Emery Riemenapp, Pajessa Baker, and Trinity Baker each collected two hits for the Panthers. Carley Shores and Emery Riemenapp each drove in two runs.

Next up for Argyle/BH is a home game against Parkview onTuesday, March 31. On Thursday, April 2, the Argyle-Black Hawk softball team travels to Belleville for a non-conference matchup.
