A trio of Dodgeville pitchers struck out 14 of the 15 necessary outs and a 12 run first inning sent the Dodgers to a 15-1 win over Highland.
The non-conference game was also highlighted by Jack Graber’s 2×2 day at the plate that resulted in five rbis. One of Graber’s hits went for a double. Jentry Olson had a pair of doubles and drove in two runs.
The Dodgers got RBI singles from Braxton Staver, Andrew Hesseling and Blake Stodola. Boone Rickard and Caden Schneider got the other two Dodger hits.
Nathan Johnson got the start and fanned five in two frames. Rickard went next and struck out three. Stodola finished with six strikeouts.
Highland used four pitchers. Koyer Zadrazil got the start with Jack Tarrell working next. Trapper Hoffman and Kaden Washa also got some time on the mound.
Highland scored its lone run in the fifth on back to back doubles by Tarrell and Zadrazil.
