Joanne Deal honored by Barneveld Rescue Squad

Joanne Deal, center, was honored Aug. 25 by the Barneveld Area Rescue Squad for her 43 years of service to the organization. Deal has served as an advanced emergency medical technician on the squad and has also provided treasurer services. Sadie Olson, BARS chief, said Deal has been an inspiration to the organization and helped recruit many younger members to the squad. She is pictured with two of her nieces, Rachel Doescher, left, and Denise Meudt, who are members of the rescue squad.
