A dozen score in win over Prairie du Chien
It got lopsided early.
The Dodgers boys basketball team took a 5-2 lead to 27-2 then to a 42-19 halftime lead. With the outcome all but decided the team downed Prairie du Chien 76-40 in a SWC match-up Thursday, The game was moved up a day to avoid Friday’s dangerous temps.
There was plenty of heat from the Dodgeville offense. With playing time distributed freely a dozen players scored.
Bryce Crubaugh-Lockard and Jayce Halverson both put in 11 points the first half and Elliott Hesseling added six. They all finished in double figures with 17, 14 and 10.
No one reached double figures for the Blackhawks.
“Nice team win,” said Dodgeville coach Matt McGraw. “Having 12 different guys score shows a lot about our depth.”
