Larry Lee Wasley age 81, of Dodgeville, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026. Larry resided his whole life in Iowa County. He graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1963 and later settled in Dodgeville, marrying Sheila M. Heaton on July 13, 1970. They raised five children Pam (Mark) Paynter, Amy (Stephen) Palmer, Travis (Cristina) Wasley, Alison Wiegel (John Mueller) and Alicia Arneson.
In addition to his children, he is survived by, former spouse Sheila Wasley, sister Delores (Bob) Stevens, 11 grandchildren Kayla, Merisa, Brooke, Lucy, Nathan, Reegan, Delia, Lily, Owen, Tyler and Avery, and 4 great grandchildren Peyton, Ryker, Mylah, and Gideon.
He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin C. and Velma B. (Christopher) Wasley, his sisters Joan Lynch, Norma (Ralph) Greene, and his brother Donald (Carol Gant) Wasley. He is happily rejoined with his hunting partners and his favorite father son pair of hunting dogs Duke and Goober.
Larry was an avid outdoorsmen and farmer at heart helping on his brother's farm as often as he could. He enjoyed hunting, specifically racoon hunting, training hunting dogs, fishing, watching the Brewers and being the best grandpa, he could be. His family will always remember his massive vegetable garden and his love of watching anything grow, including the grass.
The family sincerely thanks the doctors and nurses at Upland Hills Health Emergency Room and Gorgen Funeral Home.
Per Larry's wishes there will be a private family visitation and a celebration of life planned for a later date.
