Palan, Scott W.

Scott W. Palan, 70, of Highland, WI, passed away January 12, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Known to many as “Scooter,” Scott fought hard until his final moments and passed peacefully surrounded by his family.

Scott proudly served in the United States Army and later honored fellow veterans through the American Legion honor guard. He loved the outdoors—hunting, fishing, gardening, mowing grass, and spending time in the woods. Outgoing and quick to laugh, Scott made friends wherever he went and was known for his storytelling and unmistakable greetings.

He was a proud father and grandfather. Always showing his love and support in every aspect of their lives.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, John Palan and Bonita Davis; his brother, John Palan; and sisters, Nancy Seriani and Juanita Cooper; brother-in-law George Seriani.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy; children Luke (Blake) Palan, Jake Palan, Callie (Zachary) Mosley, and Candi (Tyler) Palan; siblings Amy (David) Loy and Mark (Barb) Palan; eight grandchildren he loved dearly; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Scott’s presence and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
