Support the Dodgeville Schools and Vote Yes

Dear Editor,

My family moved into the Dodgeville School District in 2019, when our daughter was entering fourth grade.

She is now a sophomore in high school, and looking back, we feel incredibly grateful for the education and opportunities she has received here.

One of the things that has stood out most to us is the breadth of experiences the district provides for students.

Our daughter is especially passionate about music and art, and those programs have played a huge role in her growth, confidence, and sense of belonging.

The chance to explore her talents in such supportive, well-resourced programs has truly shaped who she is becoming.

Academically, her experience has been just as strong.

The quality of instruction has been excellent, and whenever she has needed extra help or flexibility, the teachers and staff have been consistently responsive, caring, and willing to work with us to ensure her success.

That level of partnership between school and family makes a real difference.

Strong schools don't happen by accident.

They are the result of sustained community support and investment.

Based on what we have seen firsthand over the past several years, we believe the upcoming operating referendum is an important step in maintaining the opportunities and quality that make the Dodgeville School District such a special place for students.

For these reasons, we plan to vote in support of the referendum this April.

Sincerely,

Melody Thompson
