Dodgeville - Cynthia "Cindy" Carol Kitelinger, age 66, of Dodgeville
passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2026, at St. Mary's Hospital in
Madison.
Cindy was born on February 17, 1960 to Donald and Marlene Wood, at St.
Joseph's Hospital in Dodgeville. She graduated from Iowa-Grant High
School in 1978. Following graduation, she married her high school
sweetheart, Dan Kitelinger, on October 7, 1978. Together they shared 47
wonderful years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, laughter,
and unwavering devotion.
Cindy dedicated 27 years of her career to Lands' End, where she worked
in Customer Service. She took pride in helping others and formed lasting
friendships with coworkers over the years.
She was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and rarely missed cheering
on her team. Cindy and Dan shared a deep love for camping and made many
memories together sitting around the campfire. They especially enjoyed
car cruises, taking every opportunity to get out and enjoy a ride in
their '57 Chevy or Mercedes convertible. Cindy faithfully kept her
Wednesdays reserved for her favorite show, Blue Bloods -- never missing
a "Blue Blood Wednesday" and often planning her household chores around
its start time.
Cindy also loved sitting out on her patio, admiring her flowers and
watching the cars go by. She and Dan spent many peaceful hours sitting
there together, simply enjoying each other's company.
Though she enjoyed her hobbies and interests, nothing meant more to
Cindy than her family. Her greatest joy was the time spent with those
she loved. She will be remembered for her warm heart, her amazing sense
of humor, and the deep love she gave so freely.
Cin's memory will live on in the hearts of her beloved husband, Dan; her
daughters, Keri (Greg) Smart and Danielle Kitelinger, both of
Dodgeville; and her five cherished grandchildren: Rayona, Camren,
Delaynie, and Rayven Kitelinger, and Zayda Smart, who brought her
immeasurable joy and pride throughout her life. She was looking forward
to opening her heart even more to her first great-grandchild, due in
April.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Joe Wood; her
sister, Debbie Popp; and her infant sister, Evelyn Wood.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March3, 2026 at
the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville. Burial will be
held in Linden Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until
7:00 p.m. on Monday and from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on
