LIVINGSTON – Brenda S. Towsley, age 61, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 19, 2026, at Edenbrook in Platteville. She was born on May 6, 1964, the daughter of Kenneth and Charlotte (Pierce) Burton.
Brenda grew up in Livingston and graduated from Iowa-Grant High School in 1982. On March 23, 1993, she married Richard “Rick” Towsley in Livingston. Brenda and Rick enjoyed camping, spending many weekends at Nelson Dewey and Grant River Recreational. Their camping trips were something she always looked forward to.
Brenda loved to bake and was happiest when she could share what she made with others. She had a soft spot for ice cream and enjoyed sharing with her grandkids, who she loved dearly. Her grandkids meant the world to her, and she treasured the time she spent with them.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Rick Towsley; children, Kyle (Crystal) Riley and Kristen (Cameron) Kruse; stepson, Richard D. Towsley; and 13 grandchildren. She is further survived by her mother, Charlotte Burton and siblings: Cindy Baker, Jeff (Toni) Burton, Greg (Teresa) Burton, and Rodney (Heather) Burton. She was preceded in death by her father; stepson, Carl Towsley, and brother-in-law, Bart Baker.
A Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday February 27, 2026, at the Soman-Larson Funeral home in Montfort. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service on Friday, at the funeral home. For online condolences, please visit: www.larsonfuneralhomes.com
