Highland takes win over Weston/Ithaca

“We found a way to get it done,”

Those were the thoughts on Highland girls basketball coach Josh Tarrell’s mind Tuesday after the Cardinals rolled over Weston/Ithaca 62-44  in a non-conference game.

“Adaline Esser got us going,” Tarrell said. She drilled 14 points the first half making four three pointers among her total.  That helped the Cardinals grab a 36-19 lead.

Esser finished with 17 points.

The Cardinals also got 15 points from Sophia Tarrell who came back from an injury in the last game.

“She got cleared to play so we taped up her hand and she went at it,” Tarrell said. She had 11 of her points down the stretch.

The Cardinals got a third player in double figures as Celia Oleson added 11.

The Cardinals had seven girls score.

“We were able to get everyone playing time and everyone contributed,” Tarrell said.  “I am proud of them.”
