Bonnie Leigh O'Flahrity (Aide), age 94 of Dodgeville, peacefully passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at CrestRidge Assisted Living. She was born on January 23, 1932, in Highland to Jack and Edna (Edwards) Aide. Bonnie married Jack O'Flahrity on July 30, 1952. Bonnie began her teaching career in a one-room school, alongside her mom in Highland. For the majority of her career, she worked for the Iowa-Grant School District teaching middle school science, retiring in 1994.
She is survived by her children: Tim O'Flahrity and Peggy O'Flahrity; daughters-in-law Jane O'Flahrity and Jean O'Flahrity; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; siblings Ronnie (Dianne) Aide and Rita Darota; sister-in-law Janet Aide; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack; parents; her sons, Pat and Lee; brothers, Clifford (Margret) Aide, Bill Aide, and Bob Aide; sister, Donna Rae (Earl) Welsh; and brother-in-law, Dave Dorota.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Red Zone in Highland from noon until 3:00 p.m. Bonnie will be laid to rest at St. Philip Cemetery, Highland in a private service.
