ABH uses Harris shutout to down Eagles


Barneveld pitcher Hannah Esch struck out 11 batters, but Argyle/Black Hawk got the last word with a  3-0  in a Six Rivers East game Thursday.

Esch gave up five hits and three runs over six innings while walking three.

Brynn Harris fashioned a gem in the circle for ABH. She limited the Golden Eagles to four hits while striking out seven and walking four.

ABH scored all three runs in the bottom of the fourth. Claire Holmes singled to center field, Brinley Meinert hit into a fielder's choice, and Harris walked, each scoring one run.

Lauren Reese led Barneveld with two hits in three at bats. Reagan Knight and Eliza Gordon had the other two hits.

Sam Kammes, Adrionna Ubersox, Kylie Butler, Clare Holmes, and Meinert each collected one hit for ABH. Meinert, and Harris each drove in one run. 

Butler stole three bases for ABH.
