Pointers struggle but keep on winning
It was not characteristic but in the end it was a hard fought win as Mineral Point’s volleyball team outlasted Southwestern in five sets Tuesday.
Game scores were 25-11, 15-25, 25-16, 25-27 and 15-6.
The win left a few questions for the Pointers to figure out. One is how to showcase their talents they way they can at home.
“The team we were tonight is not the team we were over the weekend,” said Pointer coach Kari Kabat. “We have some things to clean up and figure out. We haven’t played a solid game at home yet. We play well on the road and at tournaments but we were just tense at home again tonight. That simply shouldn’t happen.”
“We made more errors tonight than we probably ever have, especially with home court,” Kabat said. “But a win is a win and we will learn from it and move on.”
