Basic Human Kindness

Dear Editor,

Thank you to J. Patrick Reilly, co-editor of The Dodgeville Chronicle, for his September 11 Opinion piece, "Another Take-Away That Hurts."  He begins:  "Make American Great Again.  Apparently that means taking away more than giving."  He goes on to explain how the latest victims of the federal government are children in need. 

I couldn't agree more.  The list of things taken away since January is endless and grows longer every day. 

Where is the list of things given?

Mr. Reilly concludes by asking "When are we going to see the pledge to Make America Great?"  I believe the answer is:  When we return to caring about our fellow human beings and do our best to make the world a better place.  Since the current administration does not understand, We the People need to show them the way.  Speak up!  Become active! 

No country can be great without basic human kindness.
