Mohlmann, Rose Marie

Rose Marie Mohlmann, 92, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, at the Dimensions (Azura) Memory Care Facility in Oshkosh, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 19, 1932, in the town of Brigham, she was the sixth child of Frieda (Huber) and Ernest Aschliman. Rose Marie's journey was one of love, hard work, and devotion to her family and community.

After attending school at Walnut Hollow, the family moved to a farm near Ridgeway, where Rose Marie spent much of her life. In 1955, she married Vernon (Dick) Ley, and they farmed together until his passing in 1981. They had three children: Diane O'Donnell, Bruce Letizia, and Dean Ley. After Vernon's death, Rose Marie married George Mohlmann in 1988, and they enjoyed a life filled with companionship, travel, and dancing until George's passing in 2008.

Rose Marie was known for her strength and resilience. She worked hard on the family farm and was an excellent cook, often sharing her skills as a 4-H cooking leader. Her love for life was evident in her enthusiasm for dancing, music, and playing cards with friends and family. Even in her later years, she remained busy, joyful, and giving, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a kind word.

Surviving Rose Marie are her children Diane (John), Bruce (Chris), and Dean (Pam), as well as her stepsons Paul and Joe. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and her sisters Helen (Tom) Klein and Mary Lou (Lee) Oxnem and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family invites friends and loved ones to a visitation on Saturday, September 20, from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at The First United Methodist Church in Mineral Point, WI. Burial will take place at the White Church Cemetery in Barneveld, WI, after a luncheon. Online condolences may be made at www.houckfuneralhomes.com.

The family requests that memorials in Rose Marie's name be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, The American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA), The Cure Alzheimer's Fund, or The Alzheimer's Association. These charities were chosen to honor Rose Marie's legacy and support ongoing research and care for those affected by these diseases.

Rose Marie lived a life full of love, faith, and perseverance. Her family will miss her deeply, but they will carry her lessons, laughter, and love with them always.
