Arena Man Sentenced on Drug Charges in Iowa County Court

On Tuesday, August 26th, Iowa County Judge Matthew Allen ordered 33-year-old Lucas S. Smith to 15 years to the Wisconsin State Prison (5 years initial, 10 years extended) but imposed/stayed the sentence.  He will spend 6 months of conditional jail time, will be eligible for Huber for employment and treatment, and if available, eligible for electronic monitoring.  

Smith, from Arena, plead no contest in July for the manufacturing and the delivery of cocaine (>15-40g), a second or subsequent offense, and as a repeater, which is a class D felony.  Smith was in court with his attorney Jeffrey Erickson.  Assistant District Attorney Curtis Johnson represented the State of Wisconsin...
