Fowell, Patricia “Patty” H.

Patricia “Patty” H. Fowell, age 77, passed away on Sunday August 24, 2025, at home with her family. She was born on November 25, 1947, the daughter of Roy Sr. and Cecelia (Lemieux) Blouin.

Patty was born and raised in the Chicagoland area but found her true home when her family moved to the country. She embraced country living, enjoying life on the dairy farm and later, visiting her daughters and spending time with their many chickens, geese, and dogs.

After graduating high school in 1965, Patty attended beauty school and went on to open The Hair Gallery in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She proudly ran the business for more than 30 years, forming many lasting friendships along the way. Later in life, Patty’s creativity and playful spirit led her to work as a florist, and even as professional clown, always finding ways to make others smile.

On September 28, 2006, Patty married Don Fowell in Platteville. They enjoyed travelling together, especially their honeymoon trip to Glacier National Park. Patty had a gift for making people feel welcomed. A true social butterfly, she lit up every room she entered, greeting friends and strangers alike with hugs, kisses, and a warm smile. She was straightforward and honest, qualities that earned her the respect of many, while her kindness and laughter made her hard to forget.

Above all, Patty was proud of her family and her faith. She passed her strength and independence on to her three daughters and treasured her role as a grandmother, showering them with love, whether they were nearby or far away. Patty will be remembered as a hardworking, faith-filled women, who cherished her family and life’s simple joys. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her.

Patty is survived by her husband of 19 years, Don Fowell Sr.; three daughters: Amy Jo (Kevin) Gobin, Jennifer (Karla) Foyt-Gade, and Michelle (Chelsea) Foyt; four grandchildren: Jade Foyt, Sawyer Gobin, Emma Foyt-Gady, and Ava Foyt-Gady; and five nieces and nephews, as well as many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Leda Frew; and brother Roy Blouin Jr.
