LIVINGSTON - Barton “Bart” J. Baker, age 67, passed away on Saturday October 18, 2025, at his residence with his family by his side. He was born on May 15, 1958, in Dodgeville, the son of William and Barbara (Crayton) Baker. Bart was united in marriage to Cynthia Baker on February 8, 1986, in Montfort.
As a young man, Bart began working on the Baker family farm. As the years past, he was also employed as a mechanic, Jim’s Building Center, and Cleary Building out of Verona. Bart eventually found his passion and worked for Premier Co-op of Hazel Green for over 35 years as a sprayer operator/operations manager. Bart believed in a strong work ethic becoming that dependable employee who was always there for others. He loved working outdoors, fishing, camping, hunting in his younger years, going to tractor pulls, and attending thresheree festivals. Bart was most proud of being a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.
Bart is survived by his beloved wife Cindy Baker of Livingston two children: Brandon (Heather) Baker of Montfort, and Amanda (Colton) Friederick of Fennimore, eight grandchildren: Kadence and Austi Leigh, Bayley and Bentley Baker, Dalton, Kaylee, Keagon, and Jaxon Friederick, siblings: William Baker Jr., Robert “Bob” Baker, Bart’s twin Britton (Kim) Baker, Jean (Eric) Thornton, Sidney (Bill) Schmitz, Bruce (Tasha) Baker, and brother-in-law Bill McCarville, sister in law (Linda Schroeder) Baker (Ben) mother-in-law Charlotte Burton, and in-laws Brenda (Rick) Towsley, Jeff (Toni) Burton, Greg (Teresa) Burton, Rodney (Heather) Burton along with many dear nieces and nephews.
Bart was preceded in death by his parents William and Barbara Baker, father-in-law Kenneth Burton, two brothers Benny Baker and Brad (Carla) Baker, two sisters Shirley (Glynn) Quincy and Shelley McCarville.
A “Celebration of Life” honoring the life of Bart will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday October 26, 2025, with Pastor Renee Thomas officiating, at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort, WI.
