Cowley, Carol Kathleen (Schlough)

MOUNT HOREB - Carol Kathleen (Schlough) Cowley, age 82, of Mount Horeb, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital. 

Carol is survived by her five children, Anthony Cowley, Linda O’Connell, Lisa (Oscar) Wendt, Diane Voss and Andrew Cowley; eight grandchildren, Brandon (Emily) O’Connell, Amber (Robert) Alvarado, Ryan O’Connell, Catrina (Josh) Wahl, Heather (John) Loger, Benjamin Voss, Brooke (Thomas) Schneider and Bryanna (Keegan) Bomkamp; and 13 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister, Mary (Jerry) Gust; and many adoring nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Benjamin, Richard, David, Betty Ann and Margaret; and extended family, Patricia Schlough, Douglas Brown and Donald Cushman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. IGNATIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 109 S. Sixth St., Mount Horeb, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2025, with Father Brian Dulli presiding. Burial will take place at St. Barnabas Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Thursday.
