Langreck offered county administrator contract

The Iowa County Board is expected to confirm the appointment of Clinton Langreck as the new county administrator.at a special meeting tonight.

Langreck is presently the city manager at Platteville.  He and his family live in Mineral Point.

Langreck replaces Larry Bierke who left the position earlier this year and is now the city manager at Beaver Dam.

Langreck has been Platteville’s city manager since 2023.  Fron 2020 to 2023 he was the county administrator for Richland County.

Langreck started his service in the area in 2017 as the Human Resources  Director for Green County.  

Langreck spent 2008 until 2017 in Clark County first as Veterans Service Officer and later Personnel Manager.

Langreck is a veteran who was an officer during Operation Iraqi Freedom.  He has service both active and national guard.

His contract is contingent on county board approval.
