Blackhawks roll over Blue Devils


River Valley’s girls basketball team had the start to the season that most teams dream about.

The Blackhawks drilled visiting Lodi 81-55 with five girls reaching double figures.  By halftime the Hawks were in control 42-15.

Ella Myers and Isabella DeViney led the first half surge with nine points and Brooklyn Stokes had eight.  When it was over Stokes led with 20, Brooklyn White had 15, Elizabeth Gostomski 14, DeViney 12 and Myers 11.

Zoey Bahe had a strong performance for the Blue Devils with 32 points with 23 the second half.

River Valley returns to the court tonight when they host Potosi/Cassville from the Six Rivers.
