Arrows fly past Pointers
Going into Tuesday’s game the name Lexi Olmstead from Lancaster was virtually unknown.
After all she is only a freshman who was in the Flying Arrows starting line-up for the first time.
But by halftime the name recognition. Olmstead was in the scorebook or 18 points and the Arrows were leading Mineral Point 41-18. Before it was over she had led her team to a 73-45 win in the non-conference opener with a 30 point outburst.
Her name will no doubt be remembered for the next four years.
The Arrows also had a double scoring output from Addison Morgan who had 10.
No one from the Pointers reached double figures. Bree Swenson came close with eight with Sadie Miller and Ava Ingwell ending up with seven.
The Pointers will stay in the SWC for their next action when they face Platteville in an away contest tonight.
