Dismayed at government shutdown

Dear Editor,

I am as a Conservative Citizen, dismayed at our Congressional dilemma in a government shutdown. Like the President, I feel congress should use the rule of Continuing Resolution or as termed, The Nuclear Option. Filibuster is just a tool of the minority in bills not directly affecting budget manners. First, all bills directly affect the budget! Second, Democracy means ruled by the majority. Filibuster is an attack on Democracy.

We have recently invested twenty, maybe forty, billion in Argentina. Our Great President has wisely declared several National Emergencies. In his first term he built the Mexican Wall with one. Recently he has wisely implemented tariffs with one and activated the National Guard and ICE with another.

We again need to call on President Trump to declare a National Emergency to take money from NASA to fund the Government until Congress figures things out. Mars is not that pressing. Let’s learn to live here first.
