Kathy (White) Nondorf, age 66 of Highland, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 23, 2025, with her beloved dog, Lily, at her side. She was born on August 20, 1958, to James C. and Lenice White.
Kathy had a beautiful voice and while in high school, she toured Europe with the Wisconsin Singers. After a brief stint in college, she moved to Madison to work. While there, she met her life-long friend, Pat. Together they decided to take a trip to New Mexico, and they stayed there for a couple of years. Kathy moved home and met and married Larry Nondorf on September 11, 1982.
Kathy worked at Land's End for many years and forged many life-long friendships. She loved her family and friends, always making sure we stayed connected. She was the life of the party and had many good stories to tell. She loved to travel and along with her BFF's saw New Orleans, Memphis, New York, and Arizona.
Affectionately known as "Kissy Kathy" and "Crazy Aunty Kathy", Kathy loved her family. She also loved teasing and entertaining her nieces and nephews by playing practical jokes on them and the rest of the family, especially with the fart machine.
Kathy was a proud democrat and environmental activist. She loved reading, BTO and hard rock. She also loved her flowers and always had tomato plants.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, father- and mother-in-law Joe and Elaine Nondorf, sister-in-law Amy Bomkamp, and brothers-in-law Jack Thielorn and Rick Smelzer
Kathy is survived by her husband Larry; sons, Elijah and Christopher (Kassie); granddaughter, Clarke (Kathy loved this little girl SO much!); sisters, Christy Kreul, Jean (Neal) Walsh, and Jennifer White; brother, Jim; brothers-in-law: Bill Nondorf, Roger (Kathy) Nondorf, and Tim Bomkamp; sisters-in-law: Donna Thielorn, Mary Jo Frohne, Judy Smelzer, and Pam (Jim) Gmeinder; 17 nieces and 18 nephews, many great-nieces and nephews; other family and friends.
