Eagles mound crew shuts out A/BH
A trio of Barneveld pitchers combined to strike out 13 of the 15 outs needed in a 16-0 five inning win over Argyle/Black Hawk in a Six Rivers game Monday.
Ty Thousand went 1 1/3 and gave up A/BH’s lone hit to Ike Waage. He walked one and struck out three. Cooper Shipman went 2 2/3 and fanned seven while walking two. Mason Durst struck out the side in the fifth.
The Eagles plated nine runs in the first, one in the second, two in the third, one in the fourth and three in the fifth for their total. They had 14 hits.
Terek Marx was 4x5 with a triple, Kaydn Schlimgen was 2x3 with a double. Durst and Shipman were 2x3 and Landon Beicher 2x4. Thousand and Hunter Larson had one hit each.
Marx drove in five runs, Larson three, Shipman and Schlimgen two each and Thousand and Beicher one.
Waage, Trent Bidlingmeier, Mikey Helvogt and Brayden Slater all pitched for A/BH.
