Moser, Margaret



Margaret "Peg" Marian (Higginbotham, Tremelling) Moser, age 102 of Richland Center, formerly of Dodgeville, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Schmitt Woodland Hills. Peg was born on May 26, 1922, in Richland County to Fred D. and Gladys Schloemer. She attended Lone Rock school and graduated in 1939.

She met and married Lester Higginbotham. The pair moved to Dodgeville in 1945 while Lester was in the miliary. Together they raised two children: Robert and Nancy. After Lester's passing in 1969, Peg met and married Mason Tremelling. Mason later passed in 1995. Eventually, she met and married Maynard Moser, and they lived in Richland Century for many years. He passed in late 2023.

Peg was very active in church circles, homemakers, and VFW and Legion Auxiliaries. She enjoyed rosemaling, cooking, teaching quilting, and many other activities and interests.

Peg was preceded in death by her parents; husbands: Lester Higginbotham, Mason Tremelling, and Maynard Moser; son, Robert Higginbotham; son-in-law, Ed Martin; and brother-in-law, Will Moser.

Peg is survived by her daughter Nancy Martin; grandchildren, Roberta Martin and Susan (Dave) Hess; great-grandchildren, Jamie Hess and Jacob Hess; step-daughters, Barb (Mike) Maier and Brenda Moser; step-great-granddaughter, Brittany Schmitt, and her son Masen; foster son, Orville (Ann) Cook; sister-in-law, Karen Moser and extended Moser family.

Per Peg's wishes there will be a public visitation held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home, Dodgeville. Peg will be laid to rest near her husband, Lester, and son at Eastside Cemetery in a private committal service. The Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home is assisting the family.
