Referendum needs a “yes” vote

Dear Editor,

As a teacher, parent, and proud community member, I urge all to please consider voting yes on the April 1st Referendum.  I don't like to think of what will happen if this is not passed.  As parents, we want our children to be taught by great teachers.  We want our schools run by great administrators.  I feel that they are, which is why I have great confidence and comfort in sending my children to this district.  Our leaders have been put in a very difficult situation in which I hope we as a community can help ease that burden even just a little bit.  If it doesn't pass, there is a strong possibility that many of our fine staff will move on to other school districts.  Families who can will send their children to other area school districts where they feel supported and valued by their community.  As a member of the Dodgeville Elementary School Staff, I support a vision of providing a SAFE and HAPPY school community where everyone feels included, valued, and excited to learn. Dodgeville's city vision goes right along with our vision:  Dodgeville provides a supportive community for families, business and education, working hand in hand, to develop opportunities "at the heart of it all."  Please allow the staff of the Dodgeville School District to create those opportunities for our students.  Help make Dodgeville a town where the community is a proud partner with their school district.  This moment is crucial for our community's future. I implore you to vote YES on April 1st.  Thank you.
