Badger Honor Flight looking for area veterans for future flights

Calling all Veterans for Badger Honor Flights.  That’s the message from Brian Ziegler, Chairperson of the Board for Badger Honor Flight.  Badger Honor Flight recently finished Mission 60 and in talking with Ziegler, he’d like to see more Vietnam Veterans apply for Honor Flights, as well as any terminally ill Veteran from any war to have the opportunity to see the memorials.

“Our mission is to take Veterans to Washington D.C. to see the memorials built in their honor, at no expense to them.  It’s long overdue, especially for the Vietnam Veterans, they didn’t get that welcome home,” Ziegler said.  “We all know that Madison, during the Vietnam War era, was not very hospitable for the military.  We’ve seen a change.  Fifty-plus years later, it's nice to see the public remember.  We feel it’s important to recognize our Veterans from World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and more current conflicts to remember and to honor them,” he said...
