Public Service Commission hears concerns from many on wind project
The representatives from the Public Service Commission will have plenty to think about after two public hearings on the Badger Hollow Wind Project held Tuesday at Linden.
Large crowds attended the hearings held at the Linden Community Building in their community gym. The only glitch on the day was a forced intermission at the evening session that was triggered by potential tornadoes in the area. Speakers registered to testify and were called in order then sworn in. So far this is the only planned public hearing on the project.
Several items appeared in most of the testimonies. One that stood out was a request for a third party to perform an Environmental Impact Statement. The request included a third party be charged with reviewing it when completed.
Health was another concern. The health concern spilled over from humans to animals. Those testifying who are located by completed Red Barn wind towers discussed the increase of migraines and are looking into relocating. Some considering relocation have deep ties to the area...
