DeVine Wisdom
Dear Editor,
Due to a recent resignation of a Dodgeville School Board member, the Dodgeville School Board collectively elected to appoint the prior President of the board who was defeated in April via a general election. I have never heard of a candidate who was defeated in a general election to end up being back on the board in less than 60 days after a defeat. This action by the Dodgeville School Board is an example of totally disrespecting the good people of Dodgeville who elected to have the prior President replaced, which they did via their votes.
However, the Dodgeville School Board, in all their "DeVine Wisdom" welcomes the defeated candidate back on the board. A suggestion to correct this dumb behavior is to organize a protest with signs stating our Democracy and Election Integrity is at risk in Dodgeville. That is a far better message than people protesting with signs (No Nazis allowed) in downtown Dodgeville.
