McGraw, Brigid Rose



Brigid Rose McGraw, age 42, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025 after a valiant fight against cancer.

She was born on July 19, 1982 in Madison, WI to Michael and Melinda (Birong) McGraw. She had an instant friend with her brother Bob McGraw as they were “Irish twins” with their birthdays being 362 days apart! Brigid also has a loving, older sister, Michelle (Hinrichs) Wendt. In her youth, Brigid participated in basketball. She was a proud member of the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corp. 

Brigid went to Madison Memorial High School and later earned her RN nursing degree from Madison College. Brigid was a Care Manager at My Choice Wisconsin. She was determined to provide a good life for her children, Jeremiah and Hannah. What a positive role model she was! Brigid had a very deep faith, which gave her comfort during her illness.  Brigid touched the lives of many people including her family, friends, coworkers and patients.

Brigid exuberated kindness and patience. She was a proud mother, a loyal daughter, a loving sister, an admired niece and dear cousin. She was loved by all!

Brigid is survived by her son Jeremiah; her daughter, Hannah; her mother Melinda; her brother Robert (Jennifer) McGraw; her sister Michelle Wendt; her nephew Andrew (Jaqueline) Palmer; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Brigid was preceded in death by her father, Mike McGraw, her grandparents, Jack and Mona Birong, John and Kathryn McGraw.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at ST. BRIDGET'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Ridgeway. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass on Saturday at the church.

Brigid's family would like to thank the staff at University Hospital and Agrace Hospice Care for the outstanding care she received and compassion given to Brigid during her final days.
