As an adult, he helped his mother a lot with their Airbnb cabins, and wooded acreage with fishing ponds located north of Saint Elmo, Illinois. He was in charge of security at the property. He did many odd jobs people needed help with, he was a handyman and the tinker guy. Alex had a true passion for amateur mechanics. He loved working on and riding his motorcycles.
Alex’s most cherished and rewarding work was the time he spent as a stay at home dad with his 16 month old son, Oliver Richard, who along with Oliver’s mother, Destiny Rush was being raised with all the love of 1000 universes. Oliver was the greatest gift God could have given Alex and Destiny and he was the greatest gift Alex could Have left to us.
Alex was an avid fisherman, Hunter, and all around outdoorsman. He loved all of his dogs and was happiest when he was in the woods by the pond or Hunting. He was a true country boy. Alot of this was instilled in him, and taught to him by his uncle Rich Lawinger and his godfather Dave Busse.
Alex was so loved by his godmother Tammi Busse and his grandma Ena who spent countless hours and days with him from the day he was born he was by Ena’s side. They were best of friends. They played together, cooked together, laughed and cried together and especially napped good and snored loud together.
