Wildcats claw Panthers in SWAL game

The first time Southwestern and Iowa-Grant played a SWAL girls  game this season it ended in Iowa-Grant’s favor.

The second meeting had little resemblance to the first.

It was the Panthers claiming a 47-41 win in the first meeting with some very good basketball played.

This time it was way opposite as the Wildcats raced to a 30 point win, 57-27. It was an outcome where Panthers coach Jessica Schultz had no answer.

“I am honestly still confused what happened at Southwestern,” the second year coach said. “We all took a couple steps back this week to hopefully piece things back together.”

Ashlynn Droessler led the Wildcats with 15 points and  Bryn Droessler netted 14.

The only offense that worked for the Panthers came from their steady post Adrienne Biddick who tallied 15. No other Panther scored more than three.

Iowa-Grant came out of the game 4-11. Southwestern is now 4-14.
