Tabitha M. Steffes, age 47 of Mineral Point, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 11, 2025. She was born on August 6, 1977, the daughter of Donna Carey. Tabitha grew up in Mineral Point, graduating from Mineral Point High School in 1995.
She married the love of her life, Larry Steffes, on September 26th, 1998, with whom she built a beautiful life on their family farm. Together, they raised five wonderful children: Martina (William) Voss, Larry (Lyndsey Roum) Steffes, Emma (Rawson) Meylor, Claire Steffes, and Ava Steffes. Tabitha was also a proud grandmother to her beloved grandson, Beck, son of Rawson and Emma Meylor. She is survived by her mother, Donna Carey, her mother-in-law Donna Steffes, and siblings Andy (Amanda) Tupper and Tonna (Butch) Winkers and nieces Teagan Winkers, and Avery and Amelia Tupper.
Tabitha was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Steffes, whom she missed deeply but honored through her commitment to their family and farm.
Despite the demands of raising five children, working full-time, and helping on the family farm, Tabitha displayed incredible determination by pursuing her college education while balancing the challenges of home life. She graduated from Southwest Technical College with an associate degree in supply chain management. Her strength and perseverance inspired everyone who knew her.
Tabitha's greatest joy came from being a mother and grandmother. She was always present with a kind word, a listening ear, or a helping hand. Her laughter and love will forever echo in the hearts of those she touched.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and dedication to her family. While her absence leaves an unfillable void, her memory and the values she instilled will live on in her children, grandson, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
