DeViney hits eight triples in win over Hornets

Lexi DeViney put on a clinic in the art of three point shooting Thursday when the Blackhawks played Richland Center in a SWC girls basketball game.

DeViney buried more than a handful of threes—-eight to be exact, and her 26 points led River Valley to a 71-37  win.

Karina Osborn reached double figures for the Hawks with 13 and post player Ella Myers added 10.

The Hawks raced to a 36-22 halftime lead then rolled over the Hornets the second half with a 20 point difference when they outscored RC 35-15.

The entire team fed off DeViney’s long range success as they totaled 13 three pointers.

The Hawks had eight players enter the scoring column in the win.

Sophomore Kylie Burns led Richland Center with 10 points.
