Lillian M. Spitzbarth, age 87, of Mineral Point, passed away on February 21, 2025 at Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville. Lillian was born on July 9, 1937 near Dickeyville, Wisconsin, a daughter of William and Lillie Udelhoven.
Lillian married Edward Spitzbarth of Mineral Point on May 15, 1956 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Montfort. They lived on their family farm north of Mineral Point throughout their 69 years of marriage.
Lillian and Ed worked together on the farm and raised their family there. She and her daughters enjoyed many arts and crafts, and she developed a successful ceramics business. She volunteered at local nursing homes for many years leading craft activities.
Lillian is survived by her husband Edward, children Maria (David) Drews, Rosemarie (Robert) Fenrich, and Edward (Lynn) Spitzbarth. Eleven grandchildren, Brian (Mary) Drews, Jeffrey (Savannah) Drews, Emily Drews, John Fenrich, Samuel Fenrich, Clara Fenrich, Anna Harris, Albert Fenrich, Emma Fenrich, Maggie Spitzbarth, Benjamin Spitzbarth, and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Wilma Dolan and many relatives, friends, and neighbors.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents William and Lillie Udelhoven, sisters Eva Pennekamp, Dorothy McReynolds, Loretta Austin, Julitta Flogel; brothers Gerald Udelhoven, Adolph Udelhoven, and Chris Udelhoven.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville. Burial will be held in Graceland Cemetery in Mineral Point. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
