Strong first half moves PdC to win over Dodgers
Prairie du Chien’s girls basketball team continues to be a force on the court
Thursday it was Dodgeville’s turn to take on the Blackhawks and ended up with a 20 point loss. Prairie had a 35-17 lead at the half and while the second 18 minutes were better it wasn’t enough to catch up as the Hawks fashioned a 59-39 win.
Marlie McGraw was seven for eight from the free throw line and led the Dodgers with 15 points. Abiline Bartz added nine.
Prairie had a 10 three pointer night. Greenlee Krahn and Karly Kramer both hit two and finished with 10 and 12 points. Tannah Radloff led the trey shooting with three and the scoring with 17. Tessa Higgins enjoyed a three triple night and scored 15 points.
Dodgeville coach Hayden Hardyman saw some good things with his young Dodgers
“We improved on attacking the basket leading to more good quality shots,” Hardyman pointed out. “The unfortunate part was giving PDC 10 three point makes. We have to be better at adjusting to when a team is shooting well.”
