Whitish, Jodi Marie

Jodi Marie Whitish, age 47, of Mazomanie, formerly of Ridgeway, died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at her home.

She was born December 29, 1977 at St. Mary's Hospital to Ann (Johnson) Brunker. She attended many schools throughout the states and in Germany as a result of being an army brat. She claimed her “grades were slipping because she spent so much time trying to fit in.” She ended up graduating from Dodgeville High School in 1996. She spent most of her adult life in healthcare and loved everyone she took care of while leaving a great impression on their families.

She married the love of her life, Jason Whitish, on September 15, 2001. Her greatest joy in life was having her daughters and watching them grow up. Jodi was an extremely kind, loving, and fun person. Her bright blue eyes and beautiful smile left an impact on everyone.

She is survived by her husband Jason; daughters Abi Whitish (Preston) and Bree Whitish; step-daughter Kaitlin Whitish; parents Ann (Tom) Brunker; siblings Scott (Morgan) Chapman and Kayla Chapman; step-siblings Wade Brunker (Trish) and Shannon (Jim) Holmes; aunt Laurie (Roy) Gutowsky; uncle Steve Johnson; grandma Sharon Sutter; mother and father in-law Dean (Jane) Whitish; sister in-law Kim Zimmer; and aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews, friends, and others.

She was preceded in death by her grandpa David, niece Olivia Zimmer, infant daughter Hope, and Godparents Ron (Ellen) Fischer.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville. There will be a short service after the visitation. Please join us for an “after-party” at the Red Room in Dodgeville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested for her daughter’s education fund.
