By John Dalton
At the Barneveld Regular School Board meeting on December 10th, in her Building Report, Principal Heather Schmitz recognized 19 students at the high school level at the end of Term 1 Achievement noting all met an Academic Award level determined by their term grade point averages. 100% of all courses at high school earned passing grades by students and 100% of courses at the middle school level earned passing grades. 86% of high school students made honor roll, while 77% of middle school students made honor roll.
She said the December Professional Development finished the staff and student AI guidebook for board approval and to share with the school community, and that the climate and culture team enjoyed a staff luncheon at Pizza Ranch in Verona. For Educator Appreciation Week in November, she thanked the PTO and Jerilyn Faltz for bringing in treats for the staff. She also said a K-9 search on November 24th was successful with no hits and she gave a shout out to the Desktop Publishing class for their daily announcements.
