Highland – Elijah “Eli” Joseph Nondorf, age 39, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, with his loyal dog Bella by his side. A beloved father, brother, son, and friend to all who knew him, Eli leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to the people who mattered most to him.
Born on February 5, 1986, to Larry and Kathy (White) Nondorf, Eli grew up with a big heart, a quick wit, and a natural talent for working with his hands. He learned the craft of carpentry from his father, becoming a skilled and dedicated worker who took pride in every project. Whether he was building something from scratch or fixing what others couldn’t, Eli approached every task with patience, creativity, and care.
Above all, Eli was a devoted father to his daughter, Clarke, who remembers him as the best dad she could ever have wished for. From their shared adventures to the simple joy of making “bird soup” together, Eli filled her life with warmth, humor, and countless cherished memories.
He is survived by his daughter, Clarke; his father, Larry; and his brother, Christopher (Kassie).
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathy Nondorf his grandparents, and his aunts and uncles.
Eli’s humor was one of his greatest gifts. He was known for his jokes, his stories, and his ability to make any room brighter just by walking into it. He loved traveling across the United States with his best friend, exploring new places, collecting memories, and sharing laughter along the way.
His passions were many—cooking, carpentry, and cheering on his favorite teams, the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers. As a child, he built forts with his little brother, Chris, often “borrowing” and occasionally losing his dad’s tools—memories that still bring smiles to those who loved him.
Eli will be remembered for his kindness, his spirit, his hard work, and the love he freely gave to everyone fortunate enough to be part of his life. His absence leaves a deep ache, but his memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of his family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
